DIAMOND TOPIARY
Of the words I sling onto the page, which ones
stick, which ones flee? Which
shriek, which burn? Which
sing? Which sting?
What works,
breathes
and
lives –
links
arms with
other words, and
dances as one
organic
whole?
A
kind of
topiary, that
cannot grow in
and of itself –
but,
as a seed
grows
in
and
of
the
mind
of
the
hearer –
enduring as a
diamond – slowly showing
new facets to the
persistent
jewelers:
you,
me.
Yes! Yes! Good one! 🙂 Words and pics and shapes that work well together!
Makes this posting stuff all the more fun. Ya know? Cheerz, Uncle Tree
Thank ye kindly, Unca Tree! That’s high praise coming from the one who put “From the Executive Branch” together. The pictures combined with your word-shaping (verbal topiary?) on that one are great.
Thank you, Scott! My fish and crosses are my fav’s actually. Mind?

My, but you are quite skilled and gifted at this. Those are very good, particularly the first one. I’ve tried to do only a few pictographs, but I may have to try some more. There’s one I have in-process about — well, now, no, I don’t even want to tell you the premise, lest you do it better before I even have a chance to finish my own! LOL.
Thank you again, Scott! 🙂 Sometimes it just happens.
Then, if I can make it work without changing too many words around from the poem itself, I let it work out.
Just with prose, tho. Can’t work with lyrics that way.
Best wishes! 🙂 I’m a patient man. LoL Never hurry…
Just wow! xx Amy
