With a few exceptions, I’ve never had much success with taking pictures of the Moon. A few nights ago, however, I returned from the grocery store, stepped out of my car, looked up, and stopped. Grabbing my camera and, leaving the groceries in the car, I spent the next half hour or so shooting the sky. Both a brilliant Moon and great cloud cover.
As some may have noticed, I like taking pictures of clouds. 8^) I’m still learning about night photography, but having a bright Moon certainly helps to get good pictures of clouds at that time.

These are gorgeous! The clouds add a lot of interest. I love that last one with the pine needles.
Thank you. Can’t take credit for the Moon, though. 8^) If you’ve seen the movie E.T., then you’ve seen a partial inspiration for that last shot. I didn’t have any long alien fingers to pull the needles aside, though…
