What’s bad for business at a strip mall can be good for photographers.

This is a local strip mall that seems to get sadder and sadder, one store after another leaving. Although it’s been a slow bleed for several years now, the mall is still hanging in there. I’ve had my Canon EOS 5D for about 7 months, and am just beginning to learn how to use it. Driving across the deserted parking lot, I jumped out of the car on a whim and took this shot without even thinking about it. Sometimes a great scene is the best thing a fumbling photographer can find 8^). And I think I’ve got a pretty good eye. (The other one is a bit dodgy, though. I need to figure out which is which.)
